One rule for all

Dear Sir,

I have to agree with the senior staff at Manchester College that all visitors and students must adhere to the same, single dress code after refusing Maroon Rafique permission to attend a parents evening because she was wearing a face veil.

Security within schools and colleges is a very serious matter that must be respected by everyone who chooses to enter that environment. Manchester College are right in that for security within the grounds to be effective, faces must be kept visible.

This is no different to forcing motorcyclists to remove their crash helmets before entering a bank or a teenager to remove their hoodie in a shopping centre.

As much as I am not a fan of intrusive CCTV cameras in every corner of our lives, if they are to work, face coverings in the college must not be permitted.

Yours Faithfully,

Paul Nuttall

Manchester College is quite right to insist on face coverings to be removed. But this should apply right across the nation – we are far too accommodating in this country. People who come here think they can do what they like.

The important thing to remember in these cases is that wearing the face covering is NOT their religeon but a suppressive cultural imposition on the women. I am sure they are happy to expose their faces to obtain a driving licence but when it suits them their ‘belief ‘ prevents them from showing their face; I have heard that part of the principle behind the compulsory wearing of the face coverings is to prevent the sight of their naked faces inflaming the male passions which in it’s self is an insult to me and other men living in the here and now and not in some ancient cultural blackhole.

Got something to say?
