Welcome for young driver scheme

Dear Sir,

The provision of the Pass Plus Xtra training scheme for newly qualified young drivers within the Cheshire West and Chester Council area is a positive move that I hope will make our roads safer and reduce fatalities.

It is a sad truth that drivers under 25 represent one of the biggest risks on the road as many newly qualified drivers have no experience of driving without the supervision of a qualified instructor. We need to get young learners into the practice of driving well from an early age so bad habits do not become a problem later in life.
