Protect Vauxhall jobs

THERESA MAY MUST PROTECT VAUXHALL JOBS – SAYS UKIP

UKIP leader Paul Nuttall has insisted that Theresa May protects jobs at the Vauxhall plants.

The Prime Minister is to meet the head of France’s Peugeot Group which has plans to takeover Vauxhall.

“This take-over must not be allowed to go ahead if it means any job losses at all at Ellesmere Port and Luton,” said Mr Nuttall, North West MEP.

“And, of course, it is not just jobs at the actual factories that are in potential jeopardy but the thousands involved in its retail and components chain.

“I am glad that our government are making the right moves but they have to be meaningful and Theresa May must fight for the future of our workers.

“And it is all the more reason for Brexit to go ahead without delays so that any uncertainties are eradicated,” said Mr Nuttall.
