A feeble list from the Government

A Queen’s speech of a Government at Sea

Paul Nuttall MEP, the UKIP Deputy Leader poured cold water on today’s Queen Speech as “a mixed bag and light on major announcements, clearly the Government’s highest priority is pushing for a Remain vote in the impending EU Referendum”.

He said: “It was revealing to examine what didn’t made it into the list of Bills announced today, such as the previously much talked about but now dropped Sovereignty Bill.  Continue reading A feeble list from the Government

EU propaganda slammed

April 7, 2016

Local MEP Paul Nuttall has described spending almost £10 million on pro-EU propaganda for every household in the country as ”an affront to the democratic process.”

Leaflets arguing for Britain to remain in the EU published by the government are due to land on doorsteps in the North West by next week.

“This is not only an affront to the democratic process, it’s a disgrace,” said Mr Nuttall, UKIP deputy leader.

“Taxpayers money is blatantly being used by the government to finance this propaganda blitz but meanwhile the campaign for Brexit is not allowed to spend such a vast sum.

“How unfair is that and alien to the British sense of fair play?

“It is also completely in keeping with EU tactics which not only try to fool people into believing it it is good for us but use our own money to bludgeon us about the head with their misinformation,” said Mr Nuttall.

“Trying to justify it by saying that independent polling indicates 85% of voters want more information to make a decision before the June 23 referendum is disingenuous. People do want more information but they want to know the case for both sides and not just one,” he added.

Cameron’s talks due to fail

North West UKIP MEP  Paul Nuttall said today that David Cameron’s talks in Brussels are doomed to fail.

“He went there asking for very little and is meeting so much opposition anything he returns with will be a waste of paper.

“The EU does not want us to leave and knows that Cameron is desperate to stay so they are just dallying with him like a cat with a mouse. Luckily for him they won’t eat him alive but he’ll come back badly mangled.

“Deal or no deal it won’t make the cut with British folk who are fed up to the back teeth with Brussels bullying and ruling their every day lives. Britain will be better off out and only by leaving can we put the great back into Great Britain.

“Cameron is between a rock and a hard place and his negotiations are doomed to fail, however much he may claim them as a victory to save face,” said Mr Nuttall, UKIP deputy leader.

“And if he does walk away from the summit with the aim of trying again in a few weeks the outcome will still be the same. This is one battle Goliath will win.”

We wont be fooled again

Dear Editor,

Surely no-one in the country is even slightly fooled by David Cameron’s EU “renegotiations”.

His pathetic failure has served only to help convince voters, of all political persuasion, that leaving the European Union is the only way forward to secure the future of our country.

And if they need further evidence of this we now learn that after the referendum the EU Parliament’s committees could just rip up the legislation deals. eu}nopl

The planned emergency brake on migrants’ benefits – which would not be under our control – could be vetoed and the EU has no intention, nor ever will, of revising their principal tenets.

The crumbling edifice of the European Union – doomed to failure from the outset – is constructed around ever closer union, the single currency and freedom of movement.

Cameron can huff and puff all he wants, he won’t get what this country needs.  He may be fooled by watered-down agreements, which would never be water-tight anyway, but the public is not as gullible as he thinks.

Yours faithfully

Paul Nuttall MEP,

UKIP Deputy Leader
